There's something special about sharing the skies above Freycinet with people who truly appreciate what they're seeing — and the team from Cellar Door Australia were exactly that kind of guests.

Lifting off from the vines at Devil's Corner, pilot Greg took them on a journey that transforms a beautiful coastline into something truly awe-inspiring. Moulting Lagoon unfolded beneath us first — a vast, shimmering expanse home to thousands of black swans and one of the Southern Hemisphere's largest marine farms.

From there, Freycinet National Park revealed itself in full. Eleven kilometres of pristine Friendly Beaches stretched out below, before the iconic pink granite peaks of the Hazards came into view — draped in vivid red lichen that you simply have to see from the air to appreciate.

And then, as we cleared the ridge, Wineglass Bay. That perfect crescent of white sand and clear water framed by dramatic coastline and mountains — it's a view that never loses its magic, no matter how many times you've seen it.

The Cellar Door crew agreed with Greg that it was time to go fill an actual wine glass after that. We couldn't argue and returned the crew to continue their adventures.

Catch their episode on Tasmania's East Coast below, and when you're ready to see it for yourself — we'd love to take you there.
