Positive Impact plan
Environmental Initiatives
Tourism Emissions Reduction Commitment: Joined the TICT-led initiative to reduce and offset aviation-related emissions, embedding sustainability into our operations.
Native Landscaping: Introduced endemic species (Westringia fruticosa) around the airstrip to reduce dust, erosion, and maintenance, while improving guest comfort and biodiversity.
Flight Path Planning: Routes are designed in consultation with Parks & Wildlife to reduce noise disturbance over sensitive habitats and residential areas.
Waste Reduction: Bulk purchasing, reduced single-use plastics, and locally sourced refreshments minimise waste and carbon miles.
Social & Community Initiatives
Local Support: Financial contributions to the Junior Volunteer Fire Brigade and support for community fundraising events.
Emergency Services: Providing Friendly Beaches Airstrip access for bushfire response, RFDS, and emergency helicopter operations.
Youth Engagement: Involving our children in operations and providing aviation exposure, encouraging skills and pathways for future regional careers.
Economic Initiatives
Regional Collaboration: Strong partnerships with Saffire Freycinet, Freycinet Lodge, Mayfield Vineyard, and Devil’s Corner support visitor dispersal and local spend.
Employment: Family-operated with commitment to sourcing local support services (maintenance, catering, trades).
Visitor Economy Growth: Scenic flights increase length of stay and value per visitor, especially for high-yield luxury and group markets.
